Shift carson8/20/2023 Disrespectful and egregious to say the least. Telling me that "I'm more than welcome to go get a car somewhere else", as if I'm not dealing with thousands of dollars that I'm going to be on the line for. The whole time basically every rep was acting like I was bothering them to do their job that they get paid for. This just seemed like a ploy to get me to pay for things faster so they could be done with me. I talked to someone else at that point that said they were going to give me $300 off for my troubles that I had starting out with them. To which they always said "yes" and "of course". Just trying to make sure they don't have to honor the deal they're pushing or something? So many RED FLAGS and times of me asking if everything is kosher. But they also had to check multiple times to make sure I did. Then a "promotion" popped up for a Fall sale where they were offering $500 off any vehicle, given a deposit was made on a vehicle during 10/14 - 10/23 - which my deposit was made during the qualifying time. They said they would give the money back by midnight. During this, he also had me pay for another deposit, because there was an error on the first one. The Shift rep checked and said that was not the case. ![]() But they're a dealership and what are you gonna do, ya know?Īnyway I went to place the "non-refundable" deposit of $250 on the car and after I could have swore the price changed on the list price to where it went up. It was a Honda Accord hybrid and that was priced a little over KBB value (like $2000 over). Their front desk reps are there to just collect payment from what it seems like? After getting things squared away with my bank for the loan, I was able to find another car I wanted. If I worked for a car dealership, perhaps I would, like I figured they would have. This is my first time getting a loan and so I am not privy to how these things work. This caused me to lose out on the original car I wanted figuring out things that they should have known (they do this job everyday). So I tried getting a Toyota Camry hybrid at first, but no one over at Shift could give me any straight answers about how the financing process would work and for me to just go at it on my own to figure things out, and so I did. They have a great selection (so it seems) and decent pricing (again, so it seems). He had said the process was quick and pretty painless and so I figured I'd try them out. I went to purchase a car from Shift on the word-of-mouth advertising by a fellow co-worker. However, I’d be more than happy to train your folks on how it’s done. I’ve been in the car business for over 15 years until just a few years ago when I decided on a career change. By the afternoon (Today), the vehicle was delivered to my front door. ![]() I found the vehicle at a dealership, made an inquiry, spoke with a sales person and a finance manager and put the deal together last night. Because of this, I made the decision to look elsewhere. I decided to give your company a try after my wife and sister-in-law both had great experiences. Many of the reviews share the same sentiment. ![]() Please add this to the numerous recent Negative reviews that I discovered while waiting for someone from your company to update me. The lack of professionalism that I’ve experienced during this process send a message that your company believes that they are the only option available when purchasing a vehicle and that I just need to wait until it’s convenient for you to communicate with me. I’ve had to initiate every interaction with your company. ![]() Every single person disappointingly never called back. Every single person that I’ve managed to get on the phone with has promised to follow up with me to provide updates on the status of my order. From the moment that I clicked on the “Make it mine” button to the present day, it has been a very frustrating process. My response to a survey that was emailed to me by Shift:Ĭommunication with your company has been extremely challenging.
